In 2012, take advantage of a one-year suspension on public improvements that removes potentially costly barriers to expanding your business or improving your commercial property.

When the cost of building or property improvements reaches $25,000 or more (the “valuation” amount from the building permit), it can trigger any number of required public improvements such as installing curbs, gutters, and sidewalks, planting street trees, undergrounding utilities – any of which could really be a budget buster.
